- For the adventurous – quad bike trails offer the ultimate in outdoor adventure. We have a trail on the premises plus plenty more in our area. 4X4 routes in the Vredefort Dome area (+- 25km away)- come and test your skills.
- Being situated immediately next to grasslands and wetlands Riverlodge offers an abundance of bird life. The African Fish Eagle amongst others can be spotted here. Talking about fish –Fishing has become a popular sport and regular scene at Riverlodge. Neighbouring our estate, is the biggest Iris farm in South Africa. Come and see them flower in September to November!
- The Vaal is the ultimate water breakaway. From riverrafting, kayaking, scuba diving, jet-and water skiing – this is the playground for you, the adventurous spirit.
- For an unconventional experience why not try wine tasting along the Vaal River during July and August by boat. Or how about participating in the annual Round the Island yacht race on the Vaal Dam – a mere 55km away.
